Disconcerting

There is a life out there... living... existing... experiencing... without me.

I wasn't the one who pursued. The wolf in sheep's wool. Was that even necessary? What was the point? Gone. Some people say I'm amazing. Many are fooled. You believed it once. So sorry for the misconception. I am nothing but myself. The wolf, enraged, killed the lamb and the blood soaked the white wool ruby red. She never made it to the meadow. But the wolf only sees in black and white and the red does not concern him. Not even in his dreams does he see her smile... this does not concern him. The brunette gypsy strokes his fur and his ego. It pleases her to knot coins in his fur and feed him fat on her illegitimate children. A perfect escape for them both. The pain they inflict does not concern them. They whistle and strum while the lamb lies bleeding. And when the lovely couple questions her slow dying, the lamb's green eyes flash and in her painful struggle, all that she mutters is... "Leave me. It is none of your concern."

CLOSING THOUGHT: I wish I could forget you as easily as you forgot me.
